DESCRIPTION:For various reasons, many students are not given access to AAC in their childhood. Alternatively, students are given AAC devices in school, which they eventually outgrow, meaning the vocabulary choices or devices no longer suit them. In other cases, lack of training for the individual and communication partners creates frustration and ultimately device abandonment. Others have aged out of the school system and need viable access to their own communication systems. This webinar will focus on AAC use, resources, and implementation ideas for teenagers and adults.

This online workshop will be conducted in partnership with Los Angeles County California Children\'s Services using Zoom. After registering, you will receive an invitation to join the Zoom meeting.
